Does building college baseball coach relationships early really help?

Let me get right to the point. If Juniors are getting baseball offers, how long should you wait to be proactive and start contacting baseball coaches?

Coaches have and use position planning boards (we will cover this in other topics). They know a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Plus they make offers because they want to keep good baseball talent from going elsewhere.

Even though baseball coaches may not be able to contact you until the rules allow them to, you can always contact them. Parents and athletes alike are pleasantly surprised when a baseball coach contacts them when the rules allow. Proving being proactive works.

If you were a baseball coach you would try to lock in good talent and be more likely to chose an athlete you watch grow then out of 2 or 3 athletes with the same baseball skills. As a coach I wouldn't want to fill my spots with possible less talented leftovers other colleges didn't choose.

I would get the baseball athletes I want. Just human nature.
Athletes, cover all your bases, athletically and academically. Parents, you can be a big help now.
