When do I need to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse?

Preferably when you are a junior, but it can be done as late as your senior year. You must be registered with the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse (formerly known as the NCAA Clearinghouse) in order to be allowed to take official visits to colleges or receive a scholarship offer.


Before you spend the money registering you may want to get some feedback from coaches at your schools of interest, in order to determine whether or not you play at a Division I or Division II level, as only these two divisions require registration with the Eligibility Center.
