Where do coaches look for talented football recruits?
If you are one of the All State top 11 players you will probably get a look. Stop for a second and think about this. Most of the top D1 schools have recruiters because they have the extra money from their huge athletic budgets. Not all schools have this huge recruiting budget so they can’t look very far for talent, but most can look at everyone who approaches them.
Bottom line! There are many schools and divisions other than D1 that offer good scholarship money, but you must promote yourself to them. They can’t recruit someone they don’t know about. Don’t overlook D1 AA (FCS) or D2, NAIA or Junior Colleges.
